15 Sep A Compelling, Unputdownable Second Book
Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
This is the second book in the Gemma Doyle Trilogy. It comes off a really strong first book.
I really liked this book because the relationship between the characters has deepened.
I understood Gemma even better and, somehow, I loved her even more after reading this installment.
Rebel Angels presents a deepening plot and issue with problems that came up. I found that her narrative was just as engaging, thrilling, and exiting.
The interesting thing about Libba Bray is that this series is so vastly different from her more contemporary series. But this one is the complete opposite.
I was wholly enthralled with her specific style that so excellent for this fantastical, historical YAF that’s so different from her other stuff, but still comes across so strong and compelling.
I just wanted to be in Gemma’s world with her and her friends and experience with them all that they were doing.
Libba Bray managed to further the relationships between the characters but also intensified my love for the other characters. Despite their quirks and flaws, in this book they become so much more alive.
It’s engaging and captivating and I couldn’t put it down.
